Re: Prachuab officials to reorganize Hua Hin beach

I'm headed over to Thailand next week and will spend a week in HH. I've been there before, but need a current status report. Lots of drama, so here are my questions: 1. Can I still get a beach lounge, a beer, and food? 2. Do the horses still crap on the beach? 3. What time do the bars close at night...

Who is Gordan Brown and why should I care?

So I am sitting here on an absolutely georgious California evening (there are benefits to Global Warming) drinking some CA chardonnay and reading the Economist. There is a feature article on Mr. Brown.

So where will he take Britian, and will he be Bush's lap dog as was Sir Tony?

Well, I've kind of set on the sidelines on this issue until now. As one of the few regular US of A posters, I guess my perspective is probably different. The first thing you need to realize is that "gun control" is a local, not national, issue. Out here in San Francisco it is technically i...

When Denver opened their new airport several years ago, it took them about a year to get the computerised bagage hadnling sytem right. Also they only had taxis available (not even rental cars). To get you into town (20 miles to downtown) it cost $50 a pop. Obviously this all gets worked out over tim...
