I don´t have any True Visions packages so I use to watch football games on special websites that offer free streaming (sports and) TV. A few days ago I noticed it didn´t work anymore (at least on the games and channels I tried). A message came up saying that as I live in Thailand I need a proxy that hides my IP-address, (to go around the licensing problem??). I googled this problem and found loads of free proxy services like this. According to instructions you should access this kind of proxysite, then in a special box enter the desired web address whereby the proxy server acts as an interim, or go-between, hiding my ip-address, making it anonymous, letting me watch the game, TV channel whatever, that originally was blocked. Wow, great I thought, BUT, it doesn´t work! The links I want to go to is unavailable, or I´m directed to stupid scam promotion sites. How does it work? Does anyone know? Maybe I should make changes in my browser under Internet options-Connections-LAN settings - but then (if this is the solution?) I need to find the proxyserversite´s IP-address and the port they´re working under - and how should I find that? Or, is it something with my firewall´s settings?
Very grateful for advice on this matter! Lots of interesting football coming up!
Cheers
