Would it be acceptable to ask the name of the "newspaperman" or even the newspaper to clarify things?

You can send it by PM if you're not comfortable disclosing it on the public board, but I feel it should be as this will all be public knowledge should the project go ahead.

Khun Splitlit,

well you must be one of the ones I do not know. May I ask who you are?

I don't mind sending invitations, but at least I want to know who to.

I wish every success to any initiative that ensures better practices in the Real Estate business but I have absolutely no moral duty to have anything to do with something if I consider it to be initiated through self interest. I'll say no more on the matter - good luck!

jockey,
so you read a few posts and come to a decision based on that!?
others in the property business are taking a more positive approach and getting involved, asking to attend so they can actually see whats its about and have an input into the formation of it.

Why dont you list some of your concerns/ideas here and they can be brought up at the meeting.

Again, same as to splitlid (who got the invite already).

Jockey, just pm me who you are and we would welcome you. By the way we welcome anyone not only a select group. As said before we need a broad spectrum of opinions.

Ok how about this for a mission statement:

To promote ethical sales practices and quality building in the Hua Hin/Cha Am, PKK area.

just a starter suggestion, mind you. :thumb:

Hi everyone,

Sorry for taking so long to identify who has been behind this. Needless to say I've been following these posts with much interest as it has been providing a broad spectrum of opinions that are greatly appreciated no matter how positive or negative they are.

For the benefit of bringing piece of mind to all you posters out there that are no doubt worried about who is standing in the background.

I'm sure you all know me through one way or another. My wife and I started a property dedicated publication in Hua Hin two years ago, and most recently I've been bestowed with the nick "newspaperman" for another business endeavor that I help in... (surprise, surprise) a newspaper...

If that's still leaving anyone guessing... my lineage is not from any Mediterranean island nation, but in fact India.

I'm completely aware of a similar failed concept that was attempted in Hua Hin earlier, which was obviously conceived to be a profitable venture and therefore a debacle in the process.

I do hope that some of you can join us on Monday and share with us in person some of the opinions you've had here. Every opinion counts, the positive ones give us hope, and the negative ones tether us to reality.

I'll end this epic story by asking you all to please keep posting, because the combined experiences on this thread have certainly given us a lot of food for thought. Thanks all.... :thumb:

Well I am very sorry, but I haven't got the foggiest idea who you may be. Either you have a very high opinion of yourself, or I've spent too long on the Planet Zarg.

While I wish you every success in your venture, I hope the outcome is not as cryptic as your introduction, and can be easily understood/implemented.
