Happy Relationship Stories

Post by Cowtown Comedy »

Can someone please send some positive relationship stories?? Seems all we hear about is the psycho bar girl wife, that loves knives and buring down houses. Please send some happy stories..After reading so many depressing stories I'm scared to even talk to a thai lady.... :(

There was a recent positive thread on relationships, probably best to use 'search' to pick up on that one.

I think there at least as many good as bad news stories about relationships and the 'good & bad' aspects can be attributed to both Thai and European partners in similar proportions.

I think alot of it depends on knowing what you intentions and expectations are, keeping a cool and relatively sober head.

Looking for a potentialy faithful partner in a 'Bar Beer' also not strongly recommended. Join some sort of club or society that represents one of you interests and meet people that way, by participating and contributing in activities...

I've been in a steady and happy relationship for years, i was and am lucky. i think it probably is harder than it used to be...

I think it also important to know where your G/F is coming from too

That is often the most difficult part, giving trust if you have already had you fingers burnt even harder!

But you have to try and find some framework and a bit of common sense to narrow the odds

Very strange :? I wonder why you moved to Hua Hin if you are so scared. Obviously not to start a relationship.

From what I see, most Farang/Thai relationships are good, but as Jockey said, married bliss is boring, and nobody (except you) wants to hear the good news stories. Life goes on, and the majority of us are not getting stabbed, or having our houses burnt down around us.

Bad news is what sells newspapers, and it works on a forum like this as well

If I said I'd just bought my wife a gift, and she had responded by cooking me a wonderful dinner, I'm sure that would achieve 0 Replies

As you know I ve had my troubles here but it would nt deter me from another relationship with a Thai girl. Sure I will be CAREFULL next time but you cant label them all with the same brush.

You have to decide what your looking for and what your intentions are?
What are your expectations? Too many variables really!

1. Do You want a serious relationship?

2. Do you want something casual?

3. Do you want to go down the Bar Girl scene?

All three have plus and minus points and nothing is guaranteed.

The only thing I can say is that the more time you spend in this country hopefully the more you can learn about the culture and the way of life.
Maybe OUR biggest problem is that we use our western values and expectations in LOS and obviously this doesnt always work. The Thais may have diffrent expectations from farang.

Yep I agree that we do hear some bad stories but then again some do work out. Do we ever hear about the farangs who rip off and abuse the thai girls? No it always seems to be about the poor farang getting ripped off! Maybe its just one big game and you have to decide what your looking for and learn to play the game well!

You met on Thailandfriends.com. She's 28 & living over here for 6 years. And she was a virgin until you & she 'did the deed'.

Of course she was.

well you better knower, off course I knew, I guess you never seen a virgin from clse up, I can tell you she was never penetrated before, and the blood that flew was not from me, nor did she have "mens". She told me before she was a virgin and would love to lose it to me, some girls still save it for their "night in white armor"

but I gues you can better go to the bars and fall in love for 1 week, maybee suites you better.

fyi : she is born again christian and has other values and normes.
