However, that brought up another complaint. Why the hell do some companies leave the plastic casing on hot dogs? A pig to remove once it's in the bun with onions and mustard.
Surely, these casings should be removed before packaging which many companies do.
I agree, the first time I had hot dogs I commented to my wife (after finishing 2) that they taste kind of funny. She asked if I took the plastic casing off, OOops!
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
No doubt that some of them have preservatives added, but I will risk a bit to use the following. They have a big range of products, including some really tasty Frankfurters and Smoked Hotdogs.

Typically sausage that's made with artificial casing isn't sold with the casing still there; it's used for things like hot dogs, where the casings are stripped off before they're packaged and sold.
Many companies do but ...... some don't. Cost saving I guess.

Well Nereus, I think the OP pretty much relates to the cr@p, cheap shite - hell, sometimes they almost taste nice though.... Along with plenty of onions, strong mustard et al.
You are talking decent sausages - sometimes classed as "Hot Dogs"....
