I doubt there is any favouritism to any nationalities at the moment, other than maybe Thai, pharvey wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:42 am The LHG is still in China after saying our farewells to mother-in-law who has unfortunately passed, and is now sorting out things, seeing family, CNY etc.....
She is thinking of visiting friends of ours in Thailand whilst she is in "the area", but we are being given masses of conflicting advice. She is a Chinese citizen/passport holder, but has an "Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa" for the UK - and has been given both jabs of the Pfizer vaccine here in the UK. Not entirely sure what effect this has on visiting Thailand, but Thai immigration do seem to be a little more favourable to Chinese tourists. Would she be liable to a hotel isolation?
Any advice would be very much appreciated![]()
Personally, I'm hoping to visit later this year when all this cr@p has (fingers crossed) died down....

But the only options I’m aware of is one of the Sandbox schemes (Phuket and three more islands) where they have to stay for 7 days and then subject to negative PCR tests are then allowed to venture anywhere in Thailand. The only other option is the Alternative Quarantine route where you have to stay in a hotel for a minimum of 7 days - further details on what’s required here
