I hadn't realised that BB and Junior had upset you that much and my apologies for disappearing for 24 hours darling - I promise I wasn't chatting with another on a different Forum... Just in A&E recovering from wounds inflicted by the LHG from "other comments" - namely I was watching the rugby on Saturday....

I think I said my bit about the selection for Saturday. I'd love to see Simmons featuring, at least on the bench, but by and large no awful shocks for me.
{PH} I think we'll see Simmonds and a few others come the Third Test.
As for the video, I overlooked the 'hour' bit, and when I realised how long it was after a couple of minutes, I just couldn't face an hour-long whinge about the officiating by a defeated coach, though I'm sure at some point he tried to make out that wasn't the case. Way out of order IMO, and it will be interesting to see if there's any comeback.
[PH] There should be some "comeback" IMHO and in the rules, BUT he was very careful in what he mentioned against the refereeing (and cheating!). Yep, very boring stretches, BUT skip through to the video "highlights" - very interesting and he does prove himself wrong on a few accounts (and rules) - strange for an International Director of Rugby!!
Yes, he probably does make one or two good points, but every coach could do that after every single game there's ever been, and it works both ways. Not to mention the fact that had the mad Hobbit de Faff been sent off in the previous non-test game, as he might well have been, he wouldn't have been playing in the test(s).
[PH] There's a few with lineouts etc. which is also my bugbear - but SA are as guilty as anyone, moreso in the Scrummage. There is one with Curry who was lucky not to be cited - would have been harsh, but it's been seen before!
I think it was a bad idea, a bad precedent to set, and I hope he gets sanctioned for it. I also hope Gatland keeps his mouth shut on the topic.
[PH] Bad move yes, but let's not talk about sanctions - proud man being a little daft. Gatland will no doubt comment, just with a little extraction of the urine!!
Fully looking forward to this one - it's going to be quite a ball!!

Sorry I'm off topic but my son doesn't see Lucy so often any more, although we did see her coming off the beach at Khao Takiab a couple of weeks ago and she was looking good.
I will have to leave the hugs to my daughter-in-law who does still see her quite regularly .
Well, the Second Test is no doubt going to be a bruiser - I'm sure it'll bring back memories of the Second Test of the '97 Tour for some.....
Not sure whether Rassie's and Kolisi's comments have helped or hindered the cause (I think the latter), but the Boks will certainly not go down without hitting, kicking and screaming. I think it's been a big advantage for the Lions for the Tests to be played in Cape Town rather than moving to J'burg - they have the stability of their base in Cape Town and the major factor of not having to play at altitude......
As for Rassie's and Kolisi's comments: -
"South Africa captain Siya Kolisi says he "didn't feel respected at all" by referee Nic Berry in the opening loss to the British and Irish Lions, backing up claims made by Rassie Erasmus.
The Springboks boss posted an unprecedented hour-long video monologue online criticising the Australian referee's work in the first Test.
Earlier on Friday, the Lions called the controversy a "sideshow", while Rugby Australia deemed it "unacceptable".
One of Erasmus' claims in the unusual and unprecedented video was that Kolisi did not get the same respect given to Lions captain Alun Wyn Jones in the 22-17 loss.
The South Africa director of rugby added that he recorded the video in the hope that the Springboks would get an "equal chance" in Saturday's second Test, which will be refereed by New Zealand's Ben O'Keeffe.
Kolisi said he "didn't get given the same access to the referee" in the opener, adding: "I didn't feel respected at all.
"I didn't feel I was given a fair opportunity. I'm looking forward to a new game and a new referee. I think Ben will give a fair opportunity for both captains and that's all we're asking.""
Gatland & The Lions winning the "mind games"..... ?
The Boks will be firing and the first 20 mins..... Well, if the Lions take the onslaught - they'll be in a good position IMHO.
SA will be incredibly fired up, but this could mean more penalties for the Lions - the Lions MUST keep their heads.
Fitness will be the teller IMO - the Lions will take control in the last 25 mins... Faletau will come on along with Owens, Sinckler and (possibly) Tadhg Beirne - more likely to see Farrell rather than Daly.
Odds being offered are no different - SA 1/1 - Lions 1/1 .... Even the Bookies can't tell!
Hope the pitch holds up and hope the politics regarding the officiating stays away.....

What, is there a game on today? Damn! I've got some back numbers of Corrie to watch and a copy of Cycling Weekly I want to read. Oh well...
I was considering a careful and articulate response; however the match is about to start, I need to pour a drink whilst avoiding the LHG...... So BOLLOCKS TO YOU!!

Yep generally agreed, I think the Lions are in a good place. Maybe the refereeing has been affected by all the fuss, who knows?
SA lucky to have 15 on the pitch, Lions unlucky not to have scored a try. I'm a wee bit surprised they didn't go for a scrum with that last penalty, taking the 3 points instead.
EDIT: Nerves a bit dodgy, so I've just poured myself a Rusty Nail...
