Ok understand so maybe Thai subbies will take care of that

Another one for her would be The Fall

Thanks

Yes, but even if you can get Thai subtitles, she won't know when they are speaking Welsh and will get totally confused! Best avoided.

I was meaning to ditch the language learning element, which is secondary to the main aim of just watching it for 'entertainment'. She's very keen to watch it

Thanks

Certainly enjoyed M&W, but have mixed feelings with regards to Steve Coogan - Rob Brydon on the other hand :thumb:

What's Welsh for "Naff orf, sunshine, you want summa that mate?"

Actually, I enjoyed listening to the Welsh bits seeing if I could understand individual words. Of course, there's a lot of English in Welsh these days, if you see what I mean...

Just watching an episode of Life on Mars, and it mentioned (and ended with a song by) Roger Whittaker. I haven't given him a thought for over 40 years... rock on, Roger!!

Ah, what a dilemma... the Cylon in Galactica, the Borg in Star Trek Next Generation, or The Vulcan in Star Trek Enterprise... I'll have to give that some thought, but I'm afraid the Cylon is no. 3 (for body, no. 1 for attitude)!

Not sure it should be here, or in "Amazing Nature" or "Documentaries" - Mods, please move as and where...

Just seen the first episode entitled "Caves" which (being claustrophobic), scared the cr@p out of me. Still, absolutely incredible.

"Hidden Wales with Will Millard" - yes I know, total bias, but so far so very good! :thumb:

Again, BBC but I won't get ahead of myself again (sorry Buks) - I'm sure will be available in the days to come 1/6. :thumb:

A recommend for those with access to Brit TV. I'm currently watching the first episode of 'Mega Council Estate Next Door' - Folk on different sides of the financial divide in Islington (quick jog down the road for me).

Oh, it's jolly good British tripe! Channel 5. Great depiction so far of the down 'n out Brits in contrast to the upper class.

Where would I be put in a show like this? I'm the guy sitting on someone's garden wall sinking 5 Stella and calling it a day out.
