So.... Does anyone know any more info about the Disneyland situation?
Well Winkie nothing has surfaced so far since this News was released in October. Mr. Charoen might be cooking something up about Disneyland who knows. I will be on the ball of this one and will check all my Frequencies and contacts if I they have something!
You all from HHAD will be the first to know!

Please don't hold your breath... or you will faint. Aehh I mean this will be a a long lasting issue.

What did Wanderlust tell you about the stupidity of generalisation, VeniceBeach? Really, you know the Thais better than any of us, based on your experiences at Hin Nam Sai Suay?

I won't speak for any of the others you quoted, but as for me. I had a Thai boyfriend for 4 years, he & his son lived with me for 3 years. His friends & bandmates were my friends. My closest female friends here are married to Thais. I am one of only 2 farang living in my area. My boyfriend died last year & my mum & I paid for his funeral & observed all of the customs associated with that. His son is now my son. I very rarely go to beerbars, as I stay in at night, taking care of our son. I work with Thais, as well.

Yes, I can see how you would know Thais better than me, (I fully admit I don't know nearly enough, despite the above) based on your nights out drinking. And maybe they do respect you, who knows? I don't know. But you were talking about family values & Disneyland - how do that & drinking in Hin Nam Sai Suay correlate with each other? I would have thought my lifestyle had more to do with family values - and I still believe Disneyland would be a bad thing for HH.

Well said Dawn

Time for this thread to wind down and let the 'know it all 'stew

I spend more time with Thais than Farang so I reckon I know a little bit. But I've friends who have been here 20 years and will freely admit they still cannot fathom some things out

'East is east and West is west and never the twain shall meet'

Rest my case----yet again!!!!

ps Back to the main theme--- Disneyland will never hit Hua Hin rest assured

Maybe it would help, when you just read the comments properly bevore you give a statement about it.

1. I said i know the young "violent" thais you are talking about better than you. (nobody said that I know all the Thais and the Thai culture etc better)

2. I asked 2 post ago, what these have to do with disenyland so dont tell me, that this has nothing to do with it, because I am not the one who startet talking about violent young thais at nightmarket in a disneyland topic.

3. I never said I am going out every night and drink so dont push me in that corner. i barley drink any alcohol at all, maybe once a moth.

So stick now at the topic witch is disneyland and talk about the bad bad thai youth at your regulars' table

You must be-aware that the Ex Pats here do'nt get out much, they rarely leave Hua Hin. All the info you get here they research from other site's at best. If they are sponsor's they are protected and get away with all sorts that us mortals would be banned for, I undestand why, they are the majority that post here, all have about 3 handle's.

OK guy, why don't you be brave enough to identify where you're from and WHO specifically you have a problem with at HHAD? You come on here late and spill your bile knowing you won't get erased until morning. Enough time however for the Western world to read your trash. Indeed, a man who has been here before. To quote you, "Get a life". Pete, and no I am not from Hua Hin but I think you know that already.

You're pushing your luck. Number one, there are no other forums like this in HH, so quite who you're referring to is beyond me.
Secondly, no-one is allowed multiple accounts. Sure we've had some idiots who try to disrupt things by ressurecting themselves as someone else after they've been banned, but there are ways and means of iidentifying them. They get banned again.
You don't know what you're talking about.

Anyone get the idea that Khun H&S has been on here recently, stirring trouble? Possibly under a more Northern username? T-R-O-L-L!

If you have any problems with this website or its contents you can take them up directly with us by coming to our office and discussing them as opposed to hiding behind a pseudonym on the internet.

I've been reading this thread with interest and growing amusement. If this "conversation" was taking place around a bar table, there would be some minior wailing, gnashing, grinding of teeth, rolling of eyes, and then it would have been over. Something about the written word that adds a degree of "importance" to VB's statements, where none should be attached. Just buy him a beer and change the subject.
