It's a real pity to read these comments because it's one of the places I was hoping to get to soon. With an army of kids we don't get to eat out all that often, so when we do, we want it to be an enjoyable experience, and a good Indian would fit the bill perfectly. However, given all the recent comments regarding this place, I think we'll give it a miss for the time being.

Fortunately I might be going to Malaysia soon, and in that case, I'll definitely have my fill of Indian food. :thumb: It's the only time I managed to eat three or four meals a day. That damn mutton curry is addictive, as is every other dish and sauce they make.

The local samosa vendor will also be happy to see me back, given that I usually buy at least 20 samosas every day that I'm there. :thumb:

I really can't understand why nobody sells them at the side of the road here because it seems many Thais enjoy them as well. In SA you won't find any corner shop that hasn't got ready to eat samosas, both meat and vegetarian.

Anyway....... :offtopic:

Not what it used to be which is a great shame

Great location and good for the family but the recent change in staff has ruined what was a winner

I have tried Little India twice and agree that it's good value for money. They also do a take away service.

As a matter of interest, do these Indian restaurants in Hua-Hin only serve chicken and beef dishes, or do they also serve mutton and/or lamb? Sure would be nice if one opened that was along the same lines as those curry houses on Penang. Saying that, if one of those were to open here, I'd more than likely end up being overweight for the first time in my life. When I go to Penang I love going into one of them and saying to waiter to just bring me any dish they want. So far I've never been disappointed. :D

There were 2 Indian chefs at Smor Spa, the older one left with a chronic back problem and Sajit has cooked good food the last 2 times i have been, he probably has a Thai cook working with him but he has been in the kitchen when I have been there. I had tikka masala last week with samosas naan and pilau rice and all was fine. I would agree that when it opened up it was really great and has maybe dropped a bit but I still rate it.

Cheers,

JW
