Does anyone have an update on the route between Hua Hin and Bangkok Airport today? Apparently sections of Rama II are under water and they are planning to use roads 340 and 346 as alternative routes. But then I have read that the ringroad is impassable. So how would you get to the airport from those alternative roads? I need to make that journey within the next couple of days. If anyone has any current info I'd be very grateful to hear it.
thanks

Below is a map of where the floods are. Scroll in to take a closer look, as you can see the water has now hit the Rama II road
Came from central Bangkok to Hua Hin via taxi yesterday (13-Nov) and absolutely no sign of flooding, so I would think a route to Suvarnabhumi airport would be okay? If nothing else, go via central Bangkok?
hi everyone, am arriving at suvarnabhumi airport the 1st of December . How are the roads on the way thro Bangkok area and down to hua hin ? Are they still flooded ?
Any advice will be appreciated, I am coming down by taxi .
Thanks :
The quote below (and a number of others) have been posted under the heading "Alternate Routes to and from hua Hin to BKK", so at the moment all seems ok and I am sure that it will still be ok on the 1st December, just keep reading the "latest updates" to be sure!!

This is what is said at the home page of Tourist Authority News room 17 November.
"Flood waters are receding in most of the affected areas of Thailand’s central provinces and several districts of greater Bangkok"

Don't give it a second thought. They want tourists here so badly after all the bad news that they may have marching bands playing and girls throwing rose petals. (Seriously) Pete

Pete, that's certainly not the impression they give at the Thai/Malaysia border. As I've mentioned in another thread, I know of one couple with a young child who will never be returning to LOS. As I witnessed the fiasco in person, I can honestly say the behavior/attitude of the official concerned, was nothing short of appalling. I can only think he must have had a very poor/bad upbringing, since you witness more common decency when entering countries like Angola. Of course it's not always the case, but......

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
