They should say "Danke Sehr!" to the goalie of Uruguay! He was responsible for all goals. (Even for the third one! Watch the replays, he way overcommitted to the short side before the header.)

Yes, congratulations to the Spanish. I thought they were the better team and the Dutch played in a very cynical fashion. Their behaviour at the end was very ungracious and maybe if they had tried to play a bit more, in the style we know they can be capable of, they might have fared better?
I see Torres pulled up at the end again, Looks like the same old problem, not good news for the Scousers, mind you on his current form....
An unusual experience for Fabregas as well - to actually win something!

Its rumoured that Liverpool have now dropped their 100m price tag on him and are considering a straight swap for Emile Heskey instead.....but Aston Villa arent too keen!
But a very forgettable final. The Dutch got in and amongst the Spanish midfield to stop them playing their normal passing game.
Not pretty to watch and a difficult match to referee.....Heitinga possibly a bit unlucky but Van Bommel could have been red carded before half time.
Even a Spanish sub called Jesus couldnt produce a miracle to rescue the match from mediocrity.
But congrats to Spain, who deserved to win !
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

There is big disapointment al over here in the Netherlands. We played very well and certainly were not less then the Spanish. Too bad that Robben failed to score 2 times, when he came alone in front of the goaly.
But when 2 teams are so close, winning or loosing is often decided by a single event.
That is why it is so sad that the English referee, who was clearly in favour of the Spanish, helped to finish the game, before it went into penalty shooting.
- By giving the second yellow card for Heitinga.
- Not giving a clear corner to the Dutch team.
- Approving a clear off-side goal.
- Not giving a penalty for Robben.
A lot has been said on this forum about the quality of the referees, so this was another cry for video assistance.
Congratulations to Spain and to Switzerland, who are the only team to have beaten the current world champion.
I know you are disappointed Bajm but that is just crap - you obviously watched the game with only 'one eye!'
My first recollection of a World Cup is Ruud Krol's 1978 Dutch team and like most people I've always admired the Netherlands football heritage but last night they were a disgrace! They were lucky not to have both De Jong and Van Bommel sent off in the first half. They might as well have been wearing these:
They will be remembered as the dirtiest side in a World Cup final and they have soiled the Total Football legacy of the 74 and 78 teams in my opinion. Someone sent me a text saying "If the Dutch win this it will be like Wimbledon winning the World Cup!"
If you took Robben out of their side they had absolutely nothing to offer and if they had won last night it would have been a travesty.

video assistance clearly shows that the Spanish goal was not offside. The last dutch defender was playing Iniesta well onside when the ball was played, by a couple of yards.
