English mustard for beef, French or Dijon mustard for steak.

HP or OK sauce for everything else, apart from welsh rarebit, which has to have Lea & Perrins Worcester sauce.

Ketchup for burgers and Hot Dogs.

Concerning steak quality, can't comment on Australia as haven't seen any in the shops anywhere here, maybe they have in Bangkok. Anyway, they do have some good New Zealand beef, and USA choice beef. However, the price of the NZ product is a quarter of the US product. I think I read somewhere NZ has preferential import fees with Thailand. Damn good beef also, especially the rib eye.

Interested to know what Villa in HH is selling, besides local hybrid beef. Pete

Hi There Y"all

One Steak from one particular Asian Country I would love to Charcoal Grill it Medium and no Sauce nor Herb Butter on top of it. but with French Freis!!!

The very famous Japanese Masusaka Steak which a 100 Grams. @ Saim Paragon cost around 1300 to 1500 Baht. And They only sell it in allready vacuum packed pieces of 300 Grams for 3900 to 4500 Baht. each. At The Japanese Restauarnst Cucina Zen @ Central World Plaza in Bangers a Masusaka Steak Set Served with Vegetables, Rice, Miso Soup and some condiments cost 5000 Bahr per set.

Your's The understudy!!!

HP sauce is for breakfasts, ketchup is for chips,L&P for bloody marys .A good, aged, angus steak can benefit from soaking in red wine and black pepper overnight and being served with a whisky cream sauce containing the juices that sweat out whilst resting the steaks after sealing .I used to share a house with a flambe chef from Langhams so have a number of sauce recipes .Favourites are mixed wild mushrooms using jamesons and half wholegrain half dijon mustard .Fresh green peppercorn and shallots with jack daniels using colmans english and french in equal measures .Both are good on sausages and pork as well (my girlfriend does not eat beef)

Best steak I have found recently is Argentinian from JD's place .

This isn't a thread about 'our beef is better than your beef' - what is it with you aussies? There's good and bad everywhere, even in Oz. The thread is about what you do to enhance it when cooked, if anything?

I wouldn't mind a bit of that!

HP (or Daddys) is for Breakfasts, I certainly wouldn't put it on a Steak.

Just a bit of English Mustard for me.

Any chance of Crazy 88 opening a steak house anywhere around the Humber estuary? Loads of potential - think of all those extra visitors going to see the home of the great Hull City FC!
