Re: Seasonal Allergies
I had a never ending cold - sniffles, sneezes, feeling hot and cold. Misdiagnosed as a mild flu twice. On the third doctor's visit it turned out, correctly, to be dengue fever.

Re: Hotels near the Rajamangala stadium in Bangkok
Kantary House at the top of Ramkhamhaeng soi 42. I lived there for a year and continue to stay there 6 or more times a year. THB1800 a night with breakfast. Excellent food. Free wifi in lounge. Easy to get to the stadium from both ends of the soi. http://www.kantarycollection.com/kantaryhouse-bangko...

Re: Cheese making
I visted a cheese outlet in Hua Hin a couple of years ago and assume that they make their cheese on their premises. They are Del Casaro, 30/10 Hua Hin Soi 10, Moo Ban Bo Fai, Tel: +66 32 522 749, or visit here: http://www.delcasaro.com.

Re: Mini-van speeds now..?
Is there an alternative, safer, slower, bus service which doesn't end up at the Southern Bus Terminal? If I recall correctly the Dusit Thani had a daily service between the Dusit Thani in Bangkok and Dusit Thani in Cha-am, for guests and the public, seats permitting.

Re: Tips to keep an inordinate amount of birds away from hou
I used decoys in Bangkok to stop pigeons partying on my terrace. Pigeons are frightened of owls so we bought a couple of plastic owls (in Canada but maybe found here too - Chatuchak?) and placed them where they would be visible from a distance. We also copied from the web and enlarged greatly, pix o...

Dr. Martens has a range of shoe care products: http://www.dmusastore.com/c-18-shoe-care.aspx . If I recall correctly the shoes are sold in Bangkok at The Emporium, 3rd floor. So maybe the polishes and dubbins too. The distributor for Thailand is: O.T.T. Footwear Co. Ltd 1380/1 Moo 7 Srinakarin Road ...

Re: Pattaya beach could erode away within five years....
Yesterday the earth opened up and swallowed a large frangipani tree. Between it and the ocean is a high stone wall 20cm thick. It seems as if the fierce waves and the undertow were the cause. We also have a large hole in the ground further along the wall which until last week was part of our lawn. T...

The wallpaper at my home in Hua Hin is 10 years old and still looks very good. The only damage is human - being careless with the backs of chairs.
