Hua Hin in September

Hi Guys, I am probably coming to Hua Hin in September and would like to get a rough idea of what it's like at that time of year. I usually come in February, so I was wondering if it will be drastically different. What is the weather usually like in September? I know it's the raining season, but does...

Thanks for the feedback guys. From my limited dining experiences in Hua Hin, I'd have to agree that Lo Stivale has been the best Italian. Has nobody tried the Pasta Factory though? I've been there once and would say that based on that occasion it is a close second to Lo Stivale, with wine to match it.

I never had a chance to go to this place. Doesn't look like I will now :(

Pardon my ignorance, but I've also heard of Rockestra II. Is it the same place, or do they have 2 venues?

Mobile Phone use?

I will be coming back to Hua Hin next month (if anyone wants me to bring anything within reason, just ask) and wanted to make use of a mobile phone. I was wondering if I bring my UK phone would I be able to use a one-2-call phone card in it?

Any help would be appreciated ;)

Please guys have a look around the website (links at the bottom of this page) before asking the same old questions. Try the bar map: http://www.huahinafterdark.com/map.htm Sarawat/Rainoon is the same area. Cheers Lev, I looked all over the map, but couldn't find it :( I'll have another look ;) EDIT...

Cheers Chelsea, I know the area you mean, and have had some pretty good stuff along there. The Italian opposite the Hilton (can't remeber the name. anyone??) is somewhere I've been to quite a lot and always have their 1 litre house wine. Good stuff ;) I'm just thinking more of the smaller T...

If I was in Hua Hin for christmas, I'd have to have a go at that Crawford's Christmas dinner.

Just looking at the ad for it makes my mouth water. Unfortunately I won't be there for a few more weeks :(

I'd only ever bring wine with me into an establishment. Anything else does seem a bit cheap. The thing with wine is most Thai restaurants I've been too around Cha-am and Hua Hin don't have a very good selection, and the stuff they do have is average at best. The prices are also ridiculously high for...

Cheers Lev, I'll definately be going there when I come to Hua Hin next month. I had a few good drinking nights with John (the guy who runs both the places) last year and was just wondering whether he's mainly based at the Hua Hin place now or still mostly at Cha-am. I'm sure I'll catch up withh him ...

What's the new Crawfords like? I am very familiar with the Cha-am venue.

Do you if the owner John frequents there?
