How does Christmas Day work in HH? Back in Farangland we have the usual trip to see all the relatives, too much food, drink and flatulence. a good kip and an early evening hangover with the annual showing of the Sound of Music or Goldfinger.
It would be good hear how you locals tend to spend the day - does this mean a trip to the usual expat bars, or does Christmas just become another day? Presumably Jungle Juice will put on a full turkey dinner, but I guess you can't get sprouts there?
Christmas Day
Re: Christmas Day
You can get sprouts. I've bought them before at a small greengrocers on Petchkasem Road just around the corner from the Post Office, between two banks. There were quite pricey as I remember, but not too bad. They're never the same unless the frost has got to them a bit.Jim wrote:How does Christmas Day work in HH? Mind you, with the temperatures in HH over the past few days, you could probably leave them outside overnight and they'd be almost frozen.
