Big C Hua Hin

Post by hhfarang »

Land has been filled, ground broken, and steel stacked in place in preparation for building the Big C on the east side of the highway just south of the flyover (near the petrol station).

How reliable is this information?

It is such a big deal in Hua Hin terms so I am surprised that it has not been mentioned before.

I heard on good authority that the plot your talking about is going to be a combined ice rink and an indoor skiing centre as Big C pulled out a long time ago.

A snow dome at long last?? one of the things this town is sadly lacking, that and a water park.
Hua Hin needs to get in the 90's, it has a long way to go yet. Slowly but surely.

Guten ABend HHAD

I would like to see a Sea World Anventure Parks San Diego style of Water and Edutainment park for the whole family n Hua HIn that would be Awesome!!! Will it ever gonna happen? I don't know
:offtopic:
I hear d a number of times too that Big C is Comming to Hua Hin. but as Terry said the plan is scrapted an snow Dome would be a nice Idea!
But for me I would rather gave a cold shock from an Ice cold Tiger Beer than go into snow Dome!!!

Even sleepy old Surin has a water park it's only a couple of years old, its a bit like Butlins down Bognor Regis

If anyone is intrested in what Surin is very famous for i will post about it. :D

I just think with HH, yes a very beautifull place, lovely Thai town to relax, and nice people all this crap about full of old people and couples it's to quiet, i am 38, and love HH, anyone that makes these comments go to the otherside of the gulf and stay there please. :D

I just can't help but think any new tourist attraction in HH, will be grossly over priced, just like StarBucks or most retail units in Market Village, last year, me and Linie, AKA mrs Kendo we went bowling with six family members, for one and a half hours, we had a few drinks and some fried pork to nibble on, our bill was nearly 3,000 Baht for half size lane bowling, i was shocked at the price, it is cheaper to go bowling in Southampton, also in Market Village i have perchased some black trousers for my wifes work, 1,300 Baht ouch! the same night went down the night market and got another 3 pairs for 500 Baht.
These prices are just stupid, and who will pay them anyway when you can shop in MBK, or Platinum Mall's in bangkok and get far more for your money, Sandman is right you can get a new wardrobe for a small amount of money in Big C.
One last thing, with Market village, if they are trying to aim at the farang market, with there farang prices, why dont the donut running the movies show some in english language. :|

Hecky thump Randy! A BRITISH company opening a Big C & A?
Love the pun, but eh - C & A is German. And haven't they pulled out of Uk anyway?
Interesting though to hear the Understudys' view on a possible theme park/ski dome etc. I personally don't think HH needs it, but maybe our Thai friends think differently?

Sorry to be a stickler Margaret but their Dutch. The following is off their web site. Yes I know I was wrong as well....

The first C&A store that opened its doors there in 1861, and, by 1910, succeeded in opening a substantial number of stores in the Netherlands. The further developments were international. Thus in 1911 (Germany) and 1922 (England) the first companies outside the Netherlands were founded.

God how bored am I that I am researching the history of bloody C & A!!!!!

So maybe we'll get a water-park,maybe a ski-run? If this ever happened
whats your bets on the venue having a two-tier entrance fee for falang/Thai same as
National Parks etc...? :?
