Hua Hin tourist shot?

Post by Viseman »

Everyone,
I received word today that a friend of mine was hit in the back by a ricochet bullet at Hin Nam. He's in the ICU. Does anyone have any information about this? I'm in South Korea, so I'm way out of the loop, and would greatly appreciate if someone could confirm these reports.

Update: My friend who was hit with a stray bullet was in the ICU for a few days, but is expected to make a full recovery. Other details are still very sketchy, and I am waiting to hear from him directly. I'll post them when I hear more. I'm sure everyone is concerned with safety in the Hua Hin area, and could benefit from knowing the exact circumstances.

Let us know what you hear, you can't expect anything in the form of news from the English language local rags as 'nothing bad ever happens in Hua Hin, it is a utopian paradise'.

Pure hearsay, but I've heard that two Thais had a disagreement in the club and one waited outside to shoot the other as he left. Unfortunately he hit the westener who was leaving at the same time.
