Kids' Christmas Party - 30th December 2006

Post by DawnHRD »

There is going to be a kids' Christmas party on Saturday 30th December 2006.

Venue:JWS Motorsport Go-Kart Track

Time:2pm - 5pm

The party is open to all HHAD members' children &/or their nominated families or friends. Places are strictly limited, so please pre-book by posting below with your child's initial and surname & age. Please do not give any more information (full name, gender, nickname etc) as this is a public forum.

The cost will be 400bt + 1 present worth 100 bt* per child.

Dress: Casual as some water activities and art activities will be available, no party frocks please!! :D

Included in the afternoon's fun will be:

Santa in his grotto, kid's games & prizes, hopefully a clown, puppy petting corner, presents, loads of activities etc Food will include kid's favourites such as wobbly jellies, trifle, sausages, chicken, sausage rolls etc - a lot of food that both Thai & expat children love! :thumb:

Coca Cola is supplying the tables, chairs, marquees & drinks.

There will be no alcohol in the party area, although if you'd like to wait for your child at the "Pit Stop Cafe", you are welcome to enjoy a cold one or two

We also require some adult volunteers to help out. If you are willing to help, please post below.
Apart from adult volunteers and parents supervising very young children, there will be no room for adults in the party venue, so we request you wait in the Cafe or at the track itself (do some racing!) or drop your children off & come back for them when the party ends.

Let your kids have a ball this festive season. Imagine their little faces when they see Santa & think of all the fun they'll have

* NB Presents should be non-gender specific (unisex) and for the age of the child you are bringing. They should also be wrapped with the following codes written on the package:
U3 - for children under 3 years old
U8 - for children 3-8 years old
O8 - for children over 8 years old
Santa will distribute the presents to the kids from his grotto.

Any queries, please ask. Hope to see your kids on 30th :thumb: Merry Christmas.

JD has done the vast majority of organisational work for this with a little help from myself & Norseman. He is also donating the food, so a huge vote of thanks to him!!

No problem Governor, just bring the Aunty along, and if her names Sally, well that makes for another game. :thumb: Just joking of course, if you can't make it, don't worry. It's a kid's Christmas Party, not serious, just FUN.

I have another three PM'd attendees, and two provisionals for another 10, they'll confirm tomorrow. Any more then please be quick, we will close the offer at 60 kids. :D

Excellent! And I have one more who contacted me by phone. A 3 yr old.

Are you keeping tally, JD? :thumb:

A special mention should also go to Big Boy, who tracked down the santa suit at the eleventh hour!

Just keeping my fingers crossed that Santa can fit in to the suit, and that the quality of the suit can withstand 60 excited kids sat on Santa's knee.

It was the best I could do at such short notice - it felt a bit like Challenge Aneka.

Hope the suit is wind proof

You never know - Santa might be tempted by a few laps in a Kart

Can't wait

Just returned and indeed it was a wonderful event. The kids had great fun and the adults enjoyed good conversation. JD cooked himself in the Santa suit, but hung in there to the very end.

Hats off and kudos to the organizers, JD, Dawn and Norseman, and all others who contributed. Great time! Pete :D  :D
