FIFA World Cup 2026
The Tuchel era kicks off in a few hours. The high hopes I have for Tuchel have been somewhat dampened with Jordan bloomin' Henderson being included in the squad. I'd have preferred Djed Spence over Lewis-Skelly too. But...

Can't say I noticed much difference in the way they played, quite frankly. Good to see Kane showing why he's not replacable, but otherwise pretty tedious stuff.
This is the way

Most underrated and unappreciated player England's ever had I think. Spurs tax.

Oh, I'm watching!!

[EDIT] With the LHG being away, I've done F1, Rugby and Wendyball today - Indian takeaway on the way, and still sober enough to receive it!! Tomorrow shall be slightly quieter and alcohol free as my dear wife returns Monday... Still time to watch Bath vs Gloucester though!!

Some piss poor refereeing and some piss poor play from Wales

EDIT - I'm pretty clueless myself on the rules of Wendyball... Just a tad biased!!

Nope, I agree. The ref has been bad! Had a bit of everything that first half. Dodgy penalties given and not given. VAR red card decisions. Goals. Even a foul throw.
Edit: and the Spurs man puts them back in the lead

Another lack lustre performance by England against Latvia winning 3-0- fortunately I only endured the 5 minutes of highlights but even that didn’t have too much excitement.
Other than the excellent free kick goal by Reece James, there was a tap-in by Kane and a deflected goal by Eze - I would expect against teams like Latvia, England should be getting close to double digit wins!!

Well...Poland, Croatia and Wales only stuck two past them recently so 3 or 4 is about what you'd expect.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 7:01 am Another lack lustre performance by England against Latvia winning 3-0- fortunately I only endured the 5 minutes of highlights but even that didn’t have too much excitement.
