Hello everyone
Me and my husband are living in Hua Hin since some years and love it. It's a gentle, calm town with lovely people. A bit busy in high season, but can't have it all.
Some months ago, we got attacked on the beach by a mean big dog with an aggressive owner. He was a foreigner and behaved like he owns the beach.
It happened north of Klai Klang Won Palace, near the public Queen's Park (สวนหลวงราชินี).
We thought to forget about it, the incident seemed too weird, but then I read that a local farang here faces expulsion because his dogs attack people on the beach: viewtopic.php?t=42272&start=25
We also think it's highly likely that the dog that threatened us also was aggressive to other people. If you know of any, we would appreciate your feedback here or by DM.
It can't be that such aggressive animals and owners endanger other peaceful people on the beach.
We're scared now of going to the beach!

rakhuahin, do you maybe have photographic evidence of the animal's bites, or actually attacking people? Without this, if we permit your photo, the dog owner could bring counter claims against you, which might prove to be very costly. In such cases, it is usually the legal system that wins.
Basically, if the animal and/or his owner is a menace, reporting the problem to the police is a much better route to take than posting on a public forum. The above photo was removed to protect you, not the dog owner/dog.
Thank you for your understanding.

Re: Dog attack on Hua Hin beach, need help
Some years ago I was bitten by a dog that appeared to be owned by a beach restaurant.
I did just as GR suggested and reported it to the police. They turned up at the restaurant and they denied the dog was theirs (of course no sign of it). However, the restaurant agreed to pay my medical costs and offered me free food if I should visit again.
Telling the police is the best option.

Still trying to identify the owner. Taking a chance to may be lucky here and connect with someone that had a similar experience at the same beach.
