Chom Cafe & Restaurant

Post by Big Boy »

We've just been to the Chom Cafe for a light lunch. Situated on Soi 47, it is in what I consider to be the most unlikely of places for such a nice place. It looks brand new, and is quite a large restaurant. Quite an extensive menu, with very large helpings. A huge staff, who are very attentative (even took my wife and son back to the car shaded under umbrellas). Of course, I was left to burn

Beautiful gardens:

I will have to return after dark. It seems the gardens are very tastefully floodlit.

The garden does indeed look good and quite extensive - if the food is equally as good and reasonably priced, it looks like it will soon become very popular!!

Yes, I think aimed at the Bangkokian weekend crowd. I want to go back to see the garden under floodlights. I'd suggest anybody considering a visit to avoid Saturday/Sunday.

^I'd go there for a coffee and cake just to see the garden.

With all these recommendations, it could be busy 7 days a week - the gardens look exceptional.

It is so new, it isn't actually on Google Maps. Drive down Soi 47 (after Banchak service station), and there is a large car park on your left.

Yes, but my point is, despite the pin being on the map, the physical Chom Cafe is not, hence HuaHin61's comment, "It is located in the middle of houses, a direct access is not visible." I had the same problem before setting out yesterday. Google Maps actually took me up Nebkehhart Soi 18, which was barely big enough for my truck in places. This is why I've tried to advise the easier way to get there.
