Needed: a 'little old lady with a sewing machine' shop

The 'little old sewing lady shop' I used at the top of Soi 80 was demolished a while ago, and now I need a few repairs, including a broken cushion cover zip. Does anyone know a place that does cheap repairs? I knew a backstreet houseshop but can't find it now (forgot the location).Thanks.

That little old lady is here now, just off Soi 94. My son uses her regularly for work.

So, the lady off Soi 94 isn't the same lady that was in Soi 80, but she did a nice job on my sofa cushion zip replacement (I should have bought the zip myself as she has used a brilliant white one but I'm happy, it's my bad), I'm getting her to make a seat cushion now as a trial (it's fancy, with material for a large bow behind) for a set of eight dining room chairs. I bought the material and will take it to her (typing this has reminded me to buy the colour zips I want too, no idea where, I guess I'll look online).

If you use her for basic repairs please pay her more than she asks for, she's very cheap. I'll report back on the next job which is more complicated.

Yes, she is extremely cheap. She has been doing work for my son for well over 10 years now. Gets it wrong occasionally, but we're all entitled to a mistake. Errors are always quickly rectified.

Wonderful, thanks joelle. My seamstress (lovely word ) will first try to re-use a zip from one of the seat cushions as they all seem fine.

I wish there was a 'wai' emoticon here as there is in IM apps.

There's also a lady with a sewing machine at the very bottom of Soi 88 facing the double roundabout and overhead railway. Just along from the Yodphon Pharmacy which sits on the corner.
