Tomorrow (Sat 15th July) some HHDRC members will be doing a walk with some of our dogs to try & raise awareness & show our dogs are obedient, beautiful, loving & would make good pets. The idea is to (hopefully) get some adopted. If it goes well, we'll do it every couple of weeks.
We'll be going down Soi 88 onto Petchkasem Rd, past the Hua Hin Grand, San Paulo & into town. We'll stop for a short while at Pone Kingpeth Park before going back on the railway road. We'll start at 3pm. If you're interested in getting a dog, please watch out for us.So, if you see us, give us a wave.

Dog Walk..great idea
I've seen people walking dogs up for adoption in Berkeley.
The dogs wear a little jacket that announces they are looking for a new home.
It's really effective. Lots of people stop and pet the dogs and ask for information. It's a great way to publicize what you are doing in Hua Hin and even if people don't adopt , they can offer to help

Obviously doesn't work here! We had placards and "signboards" (bilingual) and nobody was interested. Mai pen rai, the dogs loved it, even if we humans were all knackered, and we will keep trying. One day we'll come across the right person or people. Thanks for your advice. We're also thinking of getting the dogs bandanas with our logo & "Please adopt me" on them. We considered t-shirts or jackets for the dogs, but it would be far too hot to do a lengthy walk in them.

Given HRM's love of dogs, if the Royal household in HH gets wind of the worthy cause you are trying to promote, and so much as burps approval, Thai's will be breaking down your door to adopt. The trick is to bring it to their attention. Maybe some covert activity to find out who the local Thai palace staff is? Pete
