Bangkok Traffic project tipped to cause chaos

I don't normally have to go that far down Rama 4 Rd, as the on ramp to the expressway is before that intersection.

But it has to be asked just why it is going to take that long to build? Years ago the "Belgium Bridge" further down Rama 4 Rd. was put in place over one weekend. All prefabricated and assembled by Farangs!

It appears that there are two separate bridges being proposed, both huge in comparison to what is there, but surely they can be prefabricated off site. But then, if there is a sensible way and a Thai way, guess which will win out!
