Fashion shows and the models........

This is one of my olde pharte rants………

Can someone tell me why the models at fashion shows look so anaemic, miserable and just plain f***ing stupid?
Why do the females have to walk with one foot in front of the other just waiting to trip over and simultaneously stare into blank space?
The males all look like they have slept in a wind tunnel and had a dose of dope for breakfast?
Someone please educate me

The fashion industry has almost as much to socially answer for as the arms industry. Narcissism/vanity is a major cause of social/personal degradation......despite no-one really realising it.

Totally agree with everything you say, Terry. I used to love watching fashion shows in my teens, so had a quick look on YouTube to remind myself what they were like. They walked normally (not like a dressage horse...) and smiled at the audience. Someone, somewhere, has come up with the idea of this style of silly walks and sulky faces, and now they're all doing it.

Designers want runway models in their show to act like and look like the runway models in the other shows because they want the audience to pay attention to the outfits, not the models.
