Having been shocked and disgusted by the antics of Mr Paul Gadd aka Gary Glitter, is that particular type of thing fairly rife in the region and due to the publicity is it something the authorities are being extra vigilant with? i hope he gets whats coming to him in chokey
personaly i have not seen nor looked for that in thailand
i did once go to the philapines and saw kids about which put me off the place
yes there is a lot of sex tourist (whorist) in thailand
this does not mean they are kiddy fidlers like the wharped mind of beasts like him
thailand imho seems not to have this problem and rightly so

i really can't think of a more heinious crime.
the prison terms don't seem to be a fitting punishment enough to act as a deterrent & the parasites that commit the acts are or cannot ever be rehabilitated, most, if not all, reoffend.
if mr glitter is entitled to his treatment, maybe it should be just an injection, of the lethal variety!

ARISTOCRAT Vanessa Grey yesterday revealed for the first time how sick pop paedophile Gary Glitter raped her when she was a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
Vanessa — whose uncle is a Lord — told how the Glam Rock star trapped her in a room to steal her virginity and then plied her with alcohol before performing sex acts too vile to print in this newspaper.
For 17 years she hid her shame and kept silent about what happened when Glitter — who was then 46 — spotted her messing about in her dinghy after school.
But now she plans to tell the whole sordid story to cops in a bid to ensure that 63-year-old Glitter will never be allowed to walk free in Britain again after his release from a Vietnamese jail for sexually assaulting girls of 10 and 11.
Choking back tears, Vanessa said: "Glitter is a monster who destroyed my life. I can’t stand by and watch him wreck another young life.
"He can’t help himself — it’s who he is. Glitter craves sex with children like a vampire craves blood. No child is safe in Britain as long as he is free."
Vanessa, now 32 and working as a horticulturist in Spain, told how Glitter:
GROOMED her for sex the minute he first met her as an innocent 14-year-old schoolgirl; BRAGGED about being "irresistible" to young girls;
BOASTED of sleeping with a pal’s 13-year-old daughter; and SNIGGERED about leaving one female fan horrifically bound and gagged for 36 hours when he passed out during a bondage session.
Vanessa, who one day will inherit the title "Lady" and comes from a very distinguished family, added: "Thinking about what Glitter did to me still terrifies me. He left part of me permanently damaged.
"But the rape made me so utterly ashamed that it is only now — when I heard he might be coming back to Britain — that I feel strong enough to tell police about my past."

Vanessa said: "It is hard to quantify the level of guilt I have felt over not coming forward and alerting police when I perhaps should have in 1990.
"I’ve had to stand by as other children have been hurt. It made me sick to the stomach. But there is something I can do now. Hopefully my testimony will make a difference when he is released from jail.
"If I can put Glitter away for a few more years — and convince everyone how dangerous he really is — then I’ve been absolved."

I can't help thinking that maybe Vanessa (aristrocrat) Grey is not exactly telling the whole truth, and maybe her horticultural business in Spain need a cash injection.
I certainly don't condone what Gary Glitter did, but, for goodness sake. You can read through the lines of this one. She was 15 and probably knew exactly what she was doing and letting herself in for. You'd be hard pressed to find a 15 year old even 17 years ago that hadn't dabbled in some kind of sexual activity. If she was 10 years old I would think differently...
