Re: terra cotta shop
denis,
go north on Phetkasem Rd just past Tanon Chompol(1010)then about 500 mts on the left hand side next to the 108 store, opposite the Paru Police Camp. Amazing array of goodies.

Complexity is so simply overrated

A bit far away from Hua Hin but if you ever find yourself in Ayutthaya/Angthong area, you should visit this temple and it's clay doll shop:

Ban Bang Sadet This village of Amphoe Pa Mok is noted for producing the so-called Court Dolls. Encouraged by Her Majesty the Queen, the villagers turn out delicate and beautiful dolls from clay. The small and unglazed dolls feature ways of life, Thai customs and traditions as well as folk plays. They are on sale at Wat Tha Suthawat and at the Chitrlada shops.
