Hi folks.
i will be coming over in a few weeks and i'm being picked up by my gf in her car from the airport and coming straight to Hua Hin. She will be staying with me for a few days before returning to work back in Bangkok.
I'll be staying at Jings, where car parking is non existent. As i understand, the temple next to the clock tower is available for parking. Is this correct???. And if so,does it lock the gates at night??? Also.i've seen cars parked down by the old pier accross the road from buffalo bills. Is it generally available for overnight parking there??? Does anyone know of anywhere else we could possibly park a car for 3 or 4 days?????
Many thanks in advance

Re: Overnight parking
Yes, the temple gates are locked at night. There is an area by the pier where you can pay to park during the evening, but I'm not sure if this area is available during day as it is a working fish dock.
Personally I would turn left from Petchkasem Road up Soi 70. Take the last right turn before the crazy railway crossing roundabout. There's a fairly large piece of land there used for parking - and it's free

Re: Overnight parking
I think for a small charge you can park in the Hilton underground car park, which has 24 hr security and only a short walk away.
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!
Re: Overnight parking
We used to park in the temple overnight sometimes and the gates are locked from about 22.30 until early in the morning, about 06.00 or so and it was 20 bt a day.
You can normally find parking down Naebkhehars road to the north of Chomsin but depending on how busy the city is, you might have a fair walk back.

Thanks for that folks. I'm thinking the temple looks the best option and its only a stones throw from jings too. I didn't even know the hilton had an underground car park. That might be useful when she leaves at silly o clock to return to work in bangers.
