I am to stay at Sea Hua Hin Al Fresco Resort in January. I know it is a bit early but I like to plan my trips.
It is my first time in the area and I would like to hear about any trips that I should not miss. A trip to River Kwai is one I would like do. Any other sugestions?
I have to say that I do not play golf.

Thank you for the help, will do that
Re: Day trips from Hua Hin
I am more looking for nature trips. This is only my 2nd trip to Thailand. Last January I was in Kamala on Phuket. My favorite trips there were offroad ATV trip, snorkeling at Similan Islands and the best one; Sea Canoe safari in Phang Nga Bay where we went into caves and lagoons. I am looking for trips of that kind.

There's an ATV and Paintball park on the way to Cha Am (called Cha Am ATV). As you pass Thai Watsadu there is a sign showing the centre 1.1/2 km's further on, turn left and follow the signs and you can't really miss it. They also have archery and horse-riding there.Oaks wrote:I am more looking for nature trips. This is only my 2nd trip to Thailand. Last January I was in Kamala on Phuket. ATV and archery can be fun, if the ATV is offroad.

Can you come alone for paintball or should you be part of a group?

Best regards

The ATV is off-road, but I've not done the paintball so not sure if you can turn up on your own or not?Oaks wrote:Horses and me don't mix well.Dannie Boy wrote:There's an ATV and Paintball park on the way to Cha Am (called Cha Am ATV). Why not take a trip into sam roi yot national park? There's the Phraya Nakhon cave with the royal pavilion in it, Sai cave, which you can climb down into and view the beautiful rock formations (dont forget a good flashlight). There is a lake covered in lotus with boardwalks running out over it and boat trips. Plenty of walking and climbing.Oaks wrote:I am more looking for nature trips. Pala u falls north of HH.
ATV's can be hired on the seafront near Evason in Paknampran. Guided ATV tours are run from the same place, Mr Moo's. I haven't been on them, so can't say how good they are, but I have seen them off the beaten track.
Some of the members on here take regular m/cycle rides out and can probably tell you of many more places to visit

Another suggestion: Wild elephant watching in Kui Buri National park.
