I'm sure I used to see Cafe Cremes in 7-Eleven when I was here before. They don't appear to have them now. Does anyone know where I can get cigars - any kind?
If not, a trip to Hua Hin would be fine, if anyone can suggest somewhere. Thanks.
Anywhere to buy cigars in Cha-am
Re: Anywhere to buy cigars in Cha-am
I know that there was a firework shop next to the night market in Hua Hin on petchkasem road that sold cigars (not a huge collection).
I used to buy cigarillos there, but when I went back to the US I brought back some black and mild wine flavored rillos, because the ones here are pretty dried out to be honest.
Also, if you go to Villa Market in Hua Hin, they have cigars on the left side when you first walk in. You might also check some of the wine shops in Hua Hin. I remember seeing cigars in one of the wine shops, but I cannot remember which one it was. Hope this helps

In HH, if you heading south on Petchkasm road turn left at the traffic lights where the police station is, then heading towards the beach there is a supermarket on the right hand side that sells Cafe Creme cigars. No idea if they are on sale in Cha Am.

I think 1 of the sponsors (Le Bar Francais) sells cigars. Will check next time I'm near.
The mini-supermarket mentioned above sells more than Cafe Creme but I can't remember exactly what, certainly worth a look though.

Ah yes, I do remember that supermarket. Thanks very much indeed to you Dannie Boy and Zeitgeist - wonderful. I'll take a trip to Hua Hin at the weekend.Dannie Boy wrote:... heading towards the beach there is a supermarket on the right hand side that sells Cafe Creme cigars. The wine shop in the middle of HH (Hilux??) sells 8-10 decent cigars. I looked around Cha Am also but didn't see anything.
Please post if you find!!

Many thanks to all of you for mentioning those options. I took a ride to Hua Hin, to the small supermarket on Soi 61 which Dannie Boy mentioned. There's a good supply in there. It's next door to the Travel Agent's shop.
The only drawback is the ghastly stickers of blackened teeth on the cigar boxes. They were easily removed from the flimsy King Edward III cigar wrapper, but not the Cafe Creme tins. I don't object the warning of health damage at the point of purchasing them, as one can make a choice, but I found it quite petrifying every time I went to smoke them.
My solution was to stick a mailing address label over the grisly pictures on the front and back. An easy answer. Now I can smoke my lungs out without worrying.
