Mr Plum

I've only just seen your question, so you might well have found some already.

To answer your question......yes you can buy it locally, usually from the markets. The Isaan folk use it in a number of recipes, so it's actually quite common. Also easy to grow your own from seed, especially in a part of the garden where you have a fair amount of shade. I've grown it in full sun, but it then tends to bolt to the flowering stage.

Unfortunately I don't grow anything anymore since it's just too difficult with the chickens running about, and I'm not willing to build several SuperMax prisons to keep the buggers out of the vegetable gardens. I guess I'll have to wait until all the chickens have eventually been invited for dinner.

BTW......seeds are also usually available in Hua-Hin.

If you put it into Google Translate it gives you the proper pronunciation of H̄ĕn t̂n pāl̒m chnid lĕk or เห็นต้นปาล์มชนิดเล็ก. Whether it's an accurate translation or not...
This is the way

Mr P, if my memory serves me correctly, it's called "Pak Chee Farang" (Culantro). It's a close relative to "Pak Chee Thai" which is the fresh coriander plant, Cilantro.

Ooooops  , I've just read your post again and I now realize you are looking for Saw Leaf Palmetto, rather that Saw Leaf Herb which I've just referred.

MrPlum,
If you're looking for a palm tree, shouldn't be too hard to find in a local nursery.
If you are looking for the herbal extract, this may help -

Good luck!
