Just completed our second visa run via Andaman. Passport (complete with departure card) is all you need. If you are driving takes about 4 1/2hrs steady drive. Route is pretty straight forward, dual carriageway down to Chumphon then single carriageway from there to Ranong. Signed to the ferry pretty well. Worth an overnight on the island although we stayed for two nights last time and there is not a lot to do but had the hotel pool all to ourselves, very quiet and good to chill out. The ferry times are below - these were sent by the hotel after booking. I assume if you are travelling as part of an organised group it will be straight there and straight back in one of the suicide buses - best of luck with that...

Boat Schedule from Ranong pier : 08.35/10.15/11.30/13.00 /15.00/16.00/17.00
