Good YouTube TV Sources

Most of us HHADers are stuck with the SE Asian versions of History/NatGeo/Dicovery and that means crapola reality shows rather than good docs. Gone are the good doc channels, and its sodding endless Dog Whispering and Ancient Aliens.

YouTube, despite being an endemic source of pointless crapola, has some subscribers who use it to host good worthwhile stuff like TV documentaries and classic films. So, as I come across good subscriber channels I will post em here with notes on what they contain. If you fnd others do the same, and we can build up a good list.

NB: - try to keep it fairly vague as to the content ie "history docs" rather than specific...you never know who is scanning this site, and docs channels are notorious for scanning YouTube and taking down stuff

Three more before me and the cat settle down for a kip

= Ame Agaru (After The Rains) - a proper classic top of the grade Kurosawa style samurai flick, one me and my mates rate as one of the best of the new samurai films. Slow burner, but truly excellent.

- The Twlight Samurai - another neo-jidae modern samurai flick done in the old Kurosawa style which emphasises plot over splatter. Also comes highly recommended.

- Reign Of Assassins - chinse wire fu heavy full on crazy wu jia flick...excellent watching.
