I'm now swimming a minimum of 1 hour a day 5 days a week. Given up the fags. No TV but too much Internet. Drink still too high but coming down. Now I'm healthier but more miserable

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
^ Yeah, the way I look at it is that if your miserable, why would you want to live longer. I'm for going out sooner enjoying what I like instead of depriving myself and living to a drooling 100.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I was talking T in C when I said miserable HHF
OK originally you think 'why should I?' but after a spell you feel more energetic, less prone to lethargy and generally have more get up and go despite the heat. My old man lived till 99 cos he walked 3 to 5 miles every day and still enjoyed his pint and an occasional cigar. Got pissed off eventually cos all his mates stopped talking to him but they were 6 feet under

I have not been able to watch all of the video and so i wont comment on it per say
Mr P exercise did not reverse my heart desease what it did was stop it from getting worse and by strengthening the healthy parts of my heart allowed it to work closer to normal.
The exercise also decreased my body weight/mass which my defective heart was struggling to support the weight loss means that although my heart is probably 90% of my army fighting days
it is working 120% better than when i was a fat obese settee slob of 112.6 kilos
What i also consider important is the weight loss has allowed me to
1. cut my medications by over 80% of what they were (i hate all drugs but tolerate them out of necessity only)
2. I still exercise and therefore my weight is now under complete control at 83 kilos
3. The freedom i have in my life and the extra choices available to me have given me so many new chapters to explore and keeps the mental side alive instead of being morbidly torpid.
I also think fooling ones self with drooling catchy cop outs is where people go wrong exercise can if you put your mind to it be fun and enjoyable just for the fun itself
The problem is when you are drooling at say 67 and on the edge of the big snuff suddenly you have a reason to live but cant because its to late think about that for a while HHF
Yes, I don't think the concept that exercise is good for you is too surprising but the video is very well done.
Just doing any amount of exercise is beneficial as you age and simply walking a few kilometres a day at a reasonable pace will do you the world of good.

My parents, arriving tomorrow, are mid-70's and as fit as your average 55-60 year old's I would guess, and I would put that down to simply walking a few kms/day, plus eating & drinking alcohol in moderation. The only part I don't quite understand is how I can see this but still not be ar$ed to exercise myself
Theres a sport/form of excercise that will suit everyone or anyone, its just finding what suits the individual. Excersice should be fun, as if its not its harder to keep it up. Of course the really hard thing is to get off our ar**s to start with, but once we get past that initial (large) step, it then becomes easier. Always helps to find a buddy to exercise with, to give you an incentive to keep it up and to take your mind off any hardship.
