Need a advocate (or lawyer): consultation about house rent

Post by Kotique »

Hello,

I have a dispute with rental agency (they provided us house with rats and declines to return money for 2nd month) and it seems that last gegree (last resort?) it to solve our problem in the court. So I need a consultations with attorney (and may be later - advocate) about our situation.

So, if you have contact with local ones - please give it to me.

Thank you for help!

Depending on how much of your money they have, you many find a legal battle costs you a great deal more. Also, I can't see the courts ruling in your favor based purely on the fact that you've seen rats on the property. This happens all over the place.....even in/on well maintained properties. A rat trap and some bait will work out far cheaper than court cases.....IMO.

:agree:

Never had a house or condo (4 to date) that did not have rats, roaches, snakes, geckos etc. To think of it have you ever been to a restaurant where it was rat and roach free?

If you have rats it means you haven't enough snakes! If you don't have rats it means you have too many snakes!

Your last month's rent or security deposit is essentially a gift to them... I seldom hear of anyone getting it back....

I've rented 3 to 4 times in Hua Hin from the same English gentleman and always got the deposit back. Currently renting again direct from an owner. Will see how it works out at the end. But I am hopeful.

So far in Thailand we've only got trouble with Panorama Pool Villas :-(
