Maid looking for work
Our lovely maid needs a job. We are leaving for CM. She is a good cleaner and great with small children and babies. She lives in Pak nam pran and has little means to transport. It would be better for someone who is living south of HH. The other issue is that she is pregnant and would be ideal for a family who is here for the high season. She is willing to work form Dec- March.

Hi Antoinette,
How did you initially find her? We are just settling in. We are more or less in Hua Hin and will be moving into a bigger house by march/april, hence def need help. We have a 1.5 years old son and next one is on the way.
We are looking for a good housekeeper/maid, good with kids and quite experienced with all kinds of household tasks, perfect would be somebody, who is really good in english, but that seems difficult here. We have even been thinking to emply a Filipina, so kids can really grow up tri-lingual.
Prefer somebody on a daily basis, if possible ot live in, we would arrange for accomodation near by.
Any tips appreciated.

Not quite sure what language you're thinking of, but I'd stick with two for the time being!Soi88 wrote: We have even been thinking to emply a Filipina, so kids can really grow up tri-lingual.

And I very much doubt you'll get a Thai maid who is really good in English.
I have no direct experience of hiring maids or nannies, but I do know that there are a few reliable, hard-working ladies out there who are good with children. Many of them will have kids of their own, of course. There will also be plenty looking for an easy ride. The only thing you can do is ask around. Ask the Thai wives of friends and neighbours, ask in local shops. You may have to work your way through a few failures before you strike lucky.
