I've seen some pretty awesome sports cars running around Bangkok and one or two over past years in Hua Hin. Wonder if there's one of these anywhere in Thailand.
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Convertible carries a $2 million price tag, making it one of the most expensive new cars in the world. However, according to the automotive information website Edmunds.com , buyers will get a “stupendous” car for their money, one that they called “the hardest accelerating production car on Earth.”
The 1,001-horsepower, 8-liter engine has four turbochargers, and it propels the car from zero to 60 miles per hour in two and a half seconds. It can reach a top speed of 253 miles per hour, meaning one could drive it from New York to Philadelphia in 40 minutes, provided there were none of those pesky stop signs or pedestrians to brake for.
I saw a test drive of one of these on TV recently and it was down right scary. The driver said that they really don't know what speed the 1000+ horsepower engine will actually take the car up to. It comes with a governor installed limiting the top speed to 253 mph because above that speed it cannot be controlled safely!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Awesome machine..... a little out of my price range though!
''Captain Slow'' test drives for top gear: -

I can just imagine cruising up Petchkasem in this one
Yes, much better! There is one, an earlier model I guess, that comes into the place in Bangkok where I get some work done on my Land Rover. There are also a couple of Bentley sedans that appear there from time to time.
You could always buy a Land Rover / Range Rover. It may not go as fast, but will go further and definitely cost as much to run!
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
That is the slower version HH, they have been making a supersport version for a while now, uprated engine, air intakes revised etc. toilet under the seat for high speed runs Knowing the state of Thai driving, I would expect some Hi So to wipe it out in about 10 minutes.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
Saw a Veyron stopped at a traffic light in 2005 in the Rodeo Dr. area of Beverly Hills. Most of the pedestrians stopped walking and stared. That surprised me because it was mid day, mid week which meant most of the shoppers were locals, not tourists.
Impractical? Since when is a status symbol impractical?
Nice Car, I saw two of them, April this year parked next to each other outside Claridges London, lots of attention as you can imagine. Not the sort of Car to drive around locally, sure way to become a victim of all sorts
I wouldn't want it even if I was the richest man in the world. Too heavy on fuel, draws to much attention, a goes far to fast. All round, it's impractical. Drive one of those around here and you can kiss 200 baht fines goodbye whether you're Thai or Farang.......
For me practicality means more than speed, and I would seriously hate having people staring all the time. Give me a nice new tractor any day, especially in Thailand. Not because of the roads, but rather so you can bump idiots out of your way or drive over them when they stop in the middle of the road to chat on the phone...
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
