My wife inspires me! She gets up every day with a good attitude no matter what our financial condition is. She cleans the house and doesn't ask for help. She is currently painting the entire house (inside) which saves a shitload of money on the job and she never loses hope in spite of the fact that I am usually glum and depressed about our future. She has more energy than a Tasmanian Devil and can't sit still, always looking for something else to do.

I think she is crazy and we are going down the tube in the next couple of years but she is always optimistic and keeps my head above water... no mater how suicidal I get. :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Movies. Not so much about actors, although Clint is up there, its about films for me. From my formative years, they would be, Clockwork Orange, Straw Dogs, Soldier Blue, If, that type of thing. Now its pretty much restricted to world cinema.
Music. Changed so much, 1st concert was Capt. Beefheart, and then it was pretty much the pop and rock of the day, but particularly ELP, but also so many others. Phil Ochs & Joan Baez have always been up there.
Politics Mainly my old man being made redundant after 25 years working at Fulham Gas Works, humping coal for a living, and how that pushed over the top his (hidden) fragility resulting from WW2, killing him a few years later, when I was in reality, but a kid. Churchill yes, labour/unions late 60's/early 70's, then Maggie who changed everything. The initial optimism surrounding Blair and wishing Brown had been committed, as he still should be.
Sport Chelsea. In the blood. Family from within spitting distance of the Shed. Rugby till I stopped growing and others didn't. Coe/Ovett/Thompson, Wimbledon in the early to mid seventies (I was there as a ball boy), Faldo, England, the 1990 WC and the under Venables, the 1992 England cricket WC team (I was there for some of it) and the present crop!
TV.... Easy, Monty Python, Basil et al, Special Branch, Sweeny, Minder, that type of thing, Rigsby, Only Fools and Horses, MOTD!

Richard, do you not read?

Good point SG. I forgot about books

I don't read as much as I should thanks to the Internet but occasionally I grab an easy read book and head for the beach. Has to be an easy read book as I'm an avid people watcher and my concentration gets disturbed. Bill Bryson type stuff.

Got some heavy stuff on the history of Thailand and Buddhism explained but lose concentration and then it's back to page 1. Maybe I should live in a temple for a month    !!!

Movies - Anything by Ridley Scott or featuring De Niro or Nicholson
Music - Clapton, Queen, Dire Straits, Chris Rhea
Politicians - None of them, they are all lying gits!
Sport - Redgrave (he was a neighbour of mine in my past life - met him a couple of times - total professional), Schumacher - purely for is consistency and longevity - but he should retire now
Entertainers - Tommy Cooper (totally original), Jim Davidson for his pure outrageousness, John Cleese
Engineers - Brunel and Bazelgette
Rare Types - Neil Armstrong and Jeremy Clarkson!
Machines - Concorde and Saturn 5
Cars - Bentley

No 1 is Mrs.T - Mother to my two lads (School run, homework nagging) runs the business whilst I am away, has project managed the construction of most of the Lodge when I have been absent, kicks arse with all of the staff, gets amazing deals with suppliers, organises all the shopping and food supplies for the restaurant, handles all the finances and legal stuff, gets the cars serviced and can still be a great wife with a sense of humour!
