Post by redzonerocker »

was channel flicking earlier, watching this final set

i've always said that there are few sportsmen fitter than tennis players & these 2 guys seem to be taking it to the limit, 10 hours play!! & it's not even finished yet

It's funny, most people think tennis is an easy sport. I started playing at the age of 30 and I can tell you a 90 minute tennis match is more exhausting than any other workout! I don't play anymore, because of a bad back I switched to lifting weight! (Lifting glasses full of beer!)

Try rowing, squash and cross country skiing. Rowing is a back breaker and there are no breaks

Hats off to the 2 of them, it finally ended after 11 hours of play, with the American guy winning the final set 70-68. He'll probably go out in the next round in 3 straight sets due to being absolutely knackered!

Gypsy-like prediction..... match lasted 74mins with the Yank winning just 5 games.

I'm wondering if the whole thing was a stunt? Two guys with no hope of reaching the quarter finals decide to make some history for themselves? I bet the officials are looking closely at the tapes to see if anything resembling 'one for you, one for me'. Pete
