sailom hotel info ?

Hi everyone, I have just placed the same post on a different part of the forum but now think this is more the appropriate place for it ?
I will be coming to HH with my wife and teenage (13) daughter in April for about ten days.The last time we came we stayed at the Sailom hotel and was wondering if anyone knows if it has got better/worse or the same ?
Looking forward to out visit but getting the right place to stay is becoming a headache !

just read your post,and was wondering how your stay at the sailom was. we were there for the second time,during march and found it "Ok"expensive,but you pay for the beach

Why?

Having walked from Hua Hin to Khao Takiab many times, there's not much to choose between any part of it. There's certainly nothing in place to stop me using that same bit of beach free of charge.

Or are you saying that you are paying for the privilege of being able to roll out of bed straight on to the beach without having to go into 'walk' mode?

hi eddysbay, our stay was great, had a very nice room, 2 pools to choose from,internet room that was 'entertainment' for my teenage daughter,quiet'for me',staff very friendly,breakfast was good,lunch a little pricey but a lovely setting, same at dinner when we stayed in,and my daughter even got to sing and play the resident bands guitar when they had a break 10/10.
big boy, yes 'paying' did mean for the privilege i'm sure, and that was the main reason we chose sailom, theres not much entertainment for my 13 year old daughter so for her to just go down to the beach while my wife and i were sitting on the lawn or round the pool was a big factor for us.
we got a good price as we had stayed their before and would always go back there for that reason.
if it were just me and the wife we would try a hotel that belongs to a fellow hhad user as that looked just up our street.
