HHAD Beach Party - November 1st

Post by buksida »

There will be a little get together on the beach in Takiab for HHAD members and anyone else that wants to attend. The occasion is to remember Dr Dave Soul Monsta as it is fast approaching a year since he motored off to the great Vespa club in the sky. We'll have a bonfire later in the evening (weather permitting) and it'll be just a laid back social gathering with food and drinks provided by a local beach restaurant (who has also kindly obtained permission for us to have the bonfire).

Details as follows:

Date: Saturday November 1st
Time: 3pm onwards
Location: Takiab Beach (map below)
Activities: BBQ, beach bonfire, general glass raising, and soul music.

All welcome, family members and kids too!

I'll come along if I'm in Hua Hin on the first, I've got a wedding to attend in Surin a couple of days before but should be back by then.

I'll take the laptop and some of Dave's tunes, we'll try and get it rigged up to some speakers there.

Hi

We wont be in Hua Hin on the 1st November but Dr Dave and especially Oe will be in our thoughts that day.

Hopefully we can catch up with a few of you when we are over at the beginning of December.

We miss Dr Dave very much.

Just a thought

Some guys (me included) may not have the transport, dexterity or the staying power for a long haul on the beach. Are there any plans afoot to continue the revelry in JW's afterwards as occurred last time?

It would give us old timers a chance of paying our respects without venturing too far.

Just a thought

No - there are no such plans and it's NOT a long haul down to Takiab!!
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Not sure 3-4 hours would be considered 'long haul' especially when compared to a night out on the town.

It'll probably take just as long trying to find somewhere to park in Hua Hin as it would driving 6km to Takiab!
