I heard they were hemorrhaging money and have cut the price drastically so someone will pick it for a stitch. Having said that it'll be too much for a small investor, will need a fairly major operation to come in, so they will have to be patient and expect some waiting time, no-one will be biting their hand off.
I make their chances 50/50.

Hi there Y'all!!!
I'm all with you SJ! It must be a real big investor speciallised in Hospital Operrations in order to takr over the ailing St. Paolo Hospital. I would suggest the Phaya Thai Hospital Group would take it over.to relocate real expiriened Doctros and Physisicans to our LOcal and Expats Commuinty of Hua HIn.

The Bangkok Hospital Group would be a good one for you all also. A class act in my opinion. Besides Bangkok they have Pattaya, Rayong, Chantaburi and Trat. If they want to stick to coastal locations, HH is a good fit. They have the money to do it also. Pete

As far as I know they have had plans to open in Hua Hin for some time now - I was told within the next 18 months, so I'm not sure whether they would be potential buyers as i would think they already have a site in mind if not already purchased. I would also think any buyer would have to take it on as a going concern with the existing staff, which probably would not fit their plans I would imagine. Probably cheaper and more efficient to have a hospital slightly out of the centre I would have thought - the land that SP is on alone must be worth (and would cost) a fortune.prcscct wrote:The Bangkok Hospital Group would be a good one for you all also. Samitivej is the best hospital I've ever been in by miles. If we end up getting something near that quality we can burn all the others down. From The Nation, May '08
Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BGH):
The BGH group has 19 hospitals with a combined total of 2,959 beds. Bangkok Hospital has 13 hospitals with 2,018 beds, Samitivej Hospital has 3 hospitals with 775 beds, BNH Hospital has 86 beds and Royal International has two hospitals with a total of 80 beds.
Group management has said there are no major investment plans in the near future although several small projects are in the pipeline. These include the Royal Phnom Penh Hospital with 100 beds, which will be opened in late 2009. The Royal Bangkok Abu Dhabi Hospital with 30 beds, which will be in operation next year, and Bangkok Hua Hin Hospital with 50 beds, which will be opened in 2010

50 beds doesn't sound like enough to me. It may be overcrowded just weeks after it opens. You have some wealthy Thai's there as well, so it won't just be farang patients. Pete

I always thought the Buddhist funeral was over in a day. 10 days is a lot of greenhouse gas. Is it normal to have your wife with you when you are cremated?lomuamart wrote: That rear place had a flat roof and I could smoke on it for 10 days. My wife could even stay with me.
I heard that the site had been seelcted by Foodland for the quality of its butchery department.

That unfinished bit is now a hotel, bakery etc. From memory, Sundance or Sun somethingSabai Jai wrote:Always avoided San Paulo myself...but isn't quite alot of the bulding unfinished at the rear? Considerable room for expansion.
