House/Room wanted for rental

Post by shrimphead »

hi,

im looking to find a small one bedroom house/room to rent for 1 year in hua hin starting from middle january 2009.

ive just spent the last four months in hua hin staying in various guesthouses, and obviously over time this became fairly expensive.

id like the property to be fairly central and both in good condition and in a quite area. i have a set budget on what id like to spend, and have a rough idea on current prices.

air-con would be nice and a refrigerator is a must have.

my girlfriend has already said that i should be able to just get here and then find something, but i thought id just ask around first.

if anyone has any contacts could they please let me know. ill be in england till december and then over in the philippines for xmas and new years.

thanks for your help.

That's a good advise, and I guess, the best way to find a home.
Stay in a guesthouse, rent a motorbike and search for a suitable place.
There are plenty of houses for rent!!
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Do the sums regarding the aircon and the fridge. Over one year the both could cost you 24,000 in rent. This would buy you a brand new fridge and air conditioning unit.

The fridge certainly is not worth renting. Average domestic fridge freezers vary between 5 and 10 thousand Baht band a new efficient air con unit for a medium sized room can be fitted for 20,000 Baht.
