British humor about pension letters is completely lost on me. I don't have a pension and don't need letters to renew my visa, and you didn't get my humor, was it completely lost on you, or are you just snobbing around?

We're obviously of different mindsets. I got BB's joke, which actually wasn't about pension letters per se, but I certainly couldn't see a joke in your bribery comment.handdrummer wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 10:20 pmBritish humor about pension letters is completely lost on me. I know humour is different on both sides of the pond, so I'll live with it.

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
Going for renewal of retirement visa next week. Immigration Office in Thayang.
Looking over my list of necessary items. 1. I dont see Medical Certificate. . .yet I remember going into San Paolo recently to get one of these quickie checkup letters.
2. Some concern about the background color of the photo. ..white or blue?
3. Finally . ..any need of covid vaccination certificates? Thanks

Smile: None. Must keep neutral expression with no teeth showing.
Eyes: Open and directed into the camera.
Glasses: Only if not blocking visual of eyes.
Headgear: Acceptable for religious or medical purposes.
Dimensions and size (pixels): 1200 dpi minimum.

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
I got one from Bluport a couple of weeks ago and all I needed was myself, my passport and 1,000 THB.
The officer did the form on the computer from my passport and took a photo and that was that.
I'm not sure if main Imm are so tech savvy. You might well have to fill a form in there and submit a passport photo.

Bluport is much easier. Did my reentry in the main office and they wanted:
Passport, copies of details and visa pages, photos, application form, payment. It took half an hour because a trainee was doing it.
