My favorite restaurant...

Restaurants, food, beverage, hawkers, and local markets and suppliers. This is the place for discussion on Hua Hin's culinary options.

Three questions.

I have learnt from this thread that there is the Moon Smile and Platoo and the Platoo. Different places. One in Hua Hin and the other on the Ch Am Hua Hin border. In both cases is Platoo a door or a Sardine?

Does anybody know if Aubergines (Egg Plants) are available in the Hua Hin area?

Has anybody eaten at the Red Bicycle in Khao Takiab?

Golden Place normally have them, except on the days I make Dhansak, I normally clear them out of stock. Very reasonably priced, Golden Place is a good place to check for 'odd' vegetables not normally seen in Hua Hin.

JD - thats the first time I've seen Golden Place mentioned on here - but always found them very good quality. Would recommend the jade cauliflowers when in stock (known as brocciflower in some places.)
Still scarce over here - I've only seen them in Waitrose.

Sorry Guess, I don't get the link between Tiggers, brociflowers, Africa and Waitrose! Please explain.

(and BTW - am in deepest darkest Lincolnshire!)
