Saw the article about the idiot farang earlier. Honestly what is he thinking? I'll put him in the same category as the English teacher who wanted to be Winston Churchill a while back. We are guests and should stay the hell out of this kind of thing. Having an opinion is fine, stating it is fine, getting on a stage and being a twat (and pretending to be SAS like 99% of the population of Thailand's bars) is not fine.

i had this email today my sides are splitting

As told in the Thai Post:

Thaksin Dead?

Hot off the press

Thaksin dies in Israel

While visiting Israel, Thaksin suffers a heart attack and passes away. The undertaker calls the Thai Embassy and says, 'You can have him shipped home for Bht 500,000, or you can bury him here, in the Holy Land , for just Bht100.'

The Ambassador thinks about it for a minute and replies that they want Thaksin shipped home.

The undertaker is puzzled and asks, 'Why would you spend Bht 500,000 to ship him home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only Bht100? With the money you save you could line quite a few pockets in Thailand.

To this the Thai ambassador replied, 'Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. We just can't take the risk.'

Too true and all the twat achieves is more hatred of farang interference. The backlash could impact all of of us visitors or residents

Rest assured Gordon Brown will be politically dead in a few days thank god (though not overly keen on the alternatives either).

Some friends of ours have just retuned to the U.K from Udon and my wife tell's me that they got involved up there the farang with a red shirt and his mrs with a head band i cant wait to tell him how bloody stupid he has been, i am going to make him realise that he could have been labeled as a terrorist and we all know how Thailand deals with them.

Conor David Purcell, a former Australian military reservist, is a long way from home. The 29-year-old has two infected hip wounds, no money, no passport and survives on handouts from his Thai and foreign friends.
But when he takes to the red shirt stage at Ratchaprasong, thousands of people stop and listen attentively to the Irish-born Aussie ``military'' man as he reads his speeches, which are immediately translated into Thai.

If he was ex SAS he would be able to survive of the land and wouldn't bludge on anyone! If he was so good and not obviously a legend of his own making he would not have lost his passport or lucre and would not get entry into the Kelvin Club. If he was ex SAS he would have pissed on his wounds to eliminate the infection or chewed plants that would have been made obvious to him by Les Siddons or one of the friendly Malay Rangers. IF he was ex SAS???????????

I'm so glad they can translate Gaelic into Thai ha, ha!!

Here's another joke for this thread:

"The official Thai News Agency reported that ministers voted to hand 250 million baht to the police department for operations in providing security during the anti-government Red Shirt protest and another 28 million baht for the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to investigate cases related to the political turmoil.

The sum allegedly covered operations by 29,700 police working to maintain order from March 17 to April 6, according to government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn."

http://bangkokpost.com/news/local/17664 ... -on-crisis

Looks like the govt are trying to bribe the police (who are mostly in the red camp) into doing some work! This just gets funnier by the day.

Perhaps it's to compensate them for all the lost opportunities to make tea money whilst they were having to do their job!
