But if we follow Bangkok, soon to be open for takeaway only.

This will be interesting this next week, and a definite cash cow for the MIB.

How to distinguish a bar serving food, vs a restaurant serving alcohol?

In my area notifications published that many are opening on Monday with a full menu, but they are bars in most cases. :?

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can just start serving food in your bar and calling it a restaurant. I believe it has to be registered as such.
But I agree, it's an opportunity for the police to make some pocket money.

One in my area filled up dozens of container boxes with chili con carne and set them on large table for eat-in or take-away.

I think because Thailand appears to be in the clear at the moment, people are simply taking the P. Normality is returning too fast. However, this is not news - it's been happening for years.

So :offtopic: before one of those nasty moderators jump in and give us a spanking.

.....I noticed this morning that several bars appear to be open. They may be registered restaurants but are certainly not serving food but customers are sat at the bar with drinks.

Maybe just trying it on!

Well I'm enjoying a couple of gin and tonics and a game of pool. A restaurant with a pool table.
Exciting!

Very unfair on the bars that have to remain closed though.
