Since we're giving the place free press and much of the content hasn't been about them.... I'll continue on, instead of opening a new thread that may have few replies.

Richard, you have to take something to Issan with you for the family. Fruit (all in season now)...dried meat, fish etc. Think about dried and salted phla tu. I've read that they really enjoy them up there as an ocean fish they seldom can buy locally. Will travel well with you also.

You show up with some good stuff like that and you may have a group of maidens fanning you at night and no need for aircon, or ice bags. :D Pete

Don't know BB

Maybe a cheepo brekie AM

or

A BLUE fillet steak with red wine sauce PM

Will dutifully report back to be sure as quality and value for money are paramount in these hard (exchange rate) times

Pete

I'm taking me!! What more do they want? Always leave my wallet in HH

They will get the remnants of my meal tomorrow and then it will be a call at the local market after arrival (after immigration. The only reason I am really going) and fruit to Isaan?

Come on. We live off the land up there

All the maidens are in HH, Pat or Phu. The rest are old and porky

Good man, the Brekkys look cheap if the quality's upto scratch.

As for Petes suggestion, I think you should take a few of Hua Hins finest Durian with you on your 9+ hour journey.

My wife an I had breakfast there on Thursday. I had American and she had omelette with potato.. Actually, we thought both meals were rather ordinary.

I had the Chili cheese burger the other night. The burger was good.... tasty, fresh bun, good value. The only negative comment would be the fries, obviously Makro frozen type, not crispy.

The fries are not a show stopper though, I like the parking and the general atmosphere, will definitely go again.

I've eaten there twice. First time had the Chilli, which was served with salsa and tortillas. All three tasted like I was somewhere in America, which is all I expect of Mexican food in SE Asia. I'd order it again.

Second meal was breakfast: eggs, toast, bacon and coffee. It's hard to screw up simple food unless one over/under cooks it or buys poor quality ingredients. It was fine.

My third visit last night.... had breakfast and dinner previously.

Last night ordered Tomato Soup and a Salad for my wife (she thinks that she is on a diet) and I ordered budget Sirloin Steak 200gm medium rare .. I think price was 300 Baht.. Anyhow, wife content. My steak presented nicely but oh so tough. My 77 year old teeth could not handle it. Sent it back after devouring about 1/3.

Will stick to the Mexican in future.

Or try the rib eye or local fillet instead of the sirloin. They should be much more tender and only a few more baht.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I revisited Terrace 90 tonight with my wife. She had a Chilli Dog and said that it was good... I once again ordered a Baht 239 Sirloin and was pleasantly pleased with it and would order again.

Worth noting that they will be offering a Buffet each Friday night starting 06 June.
