Where Can I Get Wallpaper Paste?

Post by Jockey »

Bought wallpaper at Homepro. They don't have wallpaper paste any more, they used to sell it but have stopped selling it for some reason. They told me there is a shop near the Hua Hin market near Tesco Lotus garage that sells it, but I don't know where they mean. I tried Index who also sell wallpaper but they don't sell wallpaper paste either. Can anyone help please?

Coming out of Hua Hin, over the flyover, theres a shop on your right almost opposite GDL poolshop, you could try there.

Ive just bought paint, brushes, roller etc.

Not 100% sure they've got wallpaper paste but its my best guess.

Likewise in the other direction - in the first main group of shops on the right as you enter Cha-am. If you're going that way.
This is the way

Quite right designer but I am sure the OP does not want the wallpaper being carried down the road by 200 million ants and weevils !

Wallpaper paste is flour and water. Some bright spark (polycell) decided to market it and make a fortune.

There are things you put in to kill growth which keep insects off as well.

Check the internet.

What did you do with all your left over porridge then Jockey?

Err maybe you better not answer that.

Since this thread has surprisingly generated some intrest, I suppose I should tell you wot' happened. The guy I hired to hang the wallpaper found paste in Trang but was told it wasn't much good and needed (white) glue round the edges to keep it stuck on. I wasn't around while he was working and when I got to the condo to see the results, I was disapointed to see white glue smear marks all over the wallpaper. I've now bought paint and will paint over the wallpaper. I'll take a before and after photo for you to see the result...

My point precisely Guess .Looks like it is moot now as Jockeys' decorator has bodged the job already .

Careful with the paint Jockey, you may find it will not cover "white" glue which sounds like something PVA based .Test on a few offcuts first .

Good luck
